We still have so many apples left over from the apple pressing and we love this spiced apple sauce: stewed apples, cinnamon and honey.
Another sunny October day for our 6th annual Apple Pressing.
The press dates from 1750 and was one of the first things to be restored when we moved here 6 years ago. It stands in an open barn and needs to be cleaned and oiled before each annual apple pressing.
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in the summer holidays (weather permitting) the cafe have a curry night. Don't forget a blanket and a bottle of something.
