With two woodburners in the house and two more being installed in the Calfshed and the Lambshed we have a lot of logs to split.
The press dates from 1750 and was one of the first things to be restored when we moved here 6 years ago. It stands in an open barn and needs to be cleaned and oiled before each annual apple pressing.
