The press dates from 1750 and was one of the first things to be restored when we moved here 6 years ago. It stands in an open barn and needs to be cleaned and oiled before each annual apple pressing.

It is indeed a glorious place to swim, fish, prawn, picnic and sunbathe, but today is cold and grey and we are just walking.

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in the summer holidays (weather permitting) the cafe have a curry night. Don't forget a blanket and a bottle of something.
